It is equipped by two X-Y axes tables, moved by two powerful linear motors, that have been projected and realized by Baccini, expressly for generating high accelerations and speed with a null settling-down period.
The tables are controlled by a special air bearing device and by a magnetic field system, which allow a very high flowability (friction elimination) and system stiffness.
The punching is carried out by special small sized electromagnetic actuators that are able to perform a 2 mm stroke with an acceleration > 120m/s2.
The tape is automatically loaded and unloaded and is handled along the line by special Baccini designed and patented trays, which have obtained a great success all around the world.
Everything is mounted on special natural lapped granite basement, that increases the system stability during the time and dampen the big accelerations that the tables transfer to the structure.

System configuration
Baccini metal punching systems can be supplied in three standard configurations, which change according to the type of punching tool and punching system that the customer wants to use.
Laboratory configuration
This configuration is suitable for studies and lab experiments; it can punch every kind of lay-out with more than 8 different hole diameters.
Though it is not a mass production line, it's able to work high volume lots in short times.
Mass production configuration
Configuration suitable to produce very high volume lots in very short times.
This configuration foresees the use of a very high performance mono-actuator and a punching system, expressly studied for the product and the lay-out chosen by the customer to be processed.
Its technical advantage is that it can move an infinite number of pins, keeping in the same time a small wheel base (< 5mm).
High production configuration with changeable selection
Configuration suitable for producing mass volume lots in very short times and giving the chance to select and control in real time each single pin.
The punching system has been expressly studied to can realize and satisfy those kinds of lay-out where is requested the activation and the deactivation or the real-time control of each single pin.
