While the units are just an implementation of typical Baccini technologies , they represent the first successful attempt to design spec. down Printing and Measuring units completely dedicated to the high accuracy over large sizes, which are needed to reproduce the large patterns typical of the PDP technology. To carry out this design and development project the Baccini team of engineers headed by the company president Mr. G. Baccini have at the same time used 20 years of company experience in the field of Microelectronics , but have applied it in a completely novel fashion purposely matched to the specific needs of accurate printing of high aspect ration PDP panels ribs as well as of printing of different pastes used in PDP.
In this sense the Ultra Accuracy Baccini Screen Printer does not represent an adaptation of existing machine models to the PDP field, but is rather the world first screen printing machine designed to make them in an industrial cost effective manner.
This Ultra-Accurate printer is expected to significantly improve manufacturing yield at the PDP factories and contribute to the ramping up of the technology by achieving lower manufacturing costs.
The following are the screen printing operations the machine is designed for:
Electrodes pastes ( Silver or other kind of paste)
Barrier ribs
Phosphorus color pastes
Black grid
Others
The following are features the machine does incorporates:
Machine base and print table made out of solid natural black granite .
Print table support and guiding by air bearing pads
Print table and squeegee drives by Baccini proprietary linear motors
Built in programmable screen wiper
Dedicated squeegee depending on the print direction
Designed for auto loading and unloading of the glass panels.
The following are the main machine specifications :
Max screen size 2200 x 2200 mm
Machine size ( without loading/unloading system) 2 450 x 3 800 mm x 1 555 ( height)
Machine weight : 8 000 Kg
Printing accuracy +/- 5 to 8 um
Automatic offsetting for phosphorus color pastes printing
Perfect alignment of the screen with the glass panel by optical electronic vision alignment (both of the screen and the glass panel).
Screen Z axis with independent side controls, to achieve programmable screen tilting against the work piece, during printing.
The above Ultra High Screen Printer as well as the CNC Measuring Unit are available or demonstration in the coming days.
We wish to extend to you our invitation to visit us or to send one of your engineers to attend a demo in our plant in Treviso near Venice Italy.
